- Oil industry wants court to overturn ethanol mandate. (desmoinesregister) -The U.S. oil and gas industry on Tuesday bolstered their argument for the Supreme Court to strike down the Environmental Protection Agency’s decision to allow a higher blend of ethanol in newer automobiles.
- Climate change could push back biofuels goals. (desmoinesregister) -The United States could have a hard time meetings its biofuels goals if the Earth’s climate continues to evolve, as a hotter planet would cut the yield of corn grown for ethanol.
- Ethanol supporters blame big oil for blocking E15. (desmoinesregister) -Six Iowa gas stations are being forced to stop selling fuel blended with 15 percent ethanol because big oil companies don’t want to supply them with it, supporters of the corn-based fuel said on Monday.
- Ag water pollution is focus of pilot studies. (theindependent) -Four sites in Minnesota have been chosen to be in a program seeking farmers willing to adopt precise on-the-ground plans for protecting the water from agricultural pollutants. The goal is to expand successful efforts nationwide.
